Football: Chaminade moves to No. 1 in Division II state bowl rankings

Chaminade’s 38-35 victory over unbeaten Gardena Serra has elevated the Eagles to No. 1 in the CalHiSports.com state bowl rankings for Division II. It means the Eagles look like to be a lock selection when the Southern California regional pairings are announced on Sunday at 1 p.m. on Time Warner Cable.
Corona Centennial seems the likely choice for the Open Division against the winner of St. John Bosco-Mater Dei.
Corona del Mar is No. 1 for Division III.
