Football: Rancho Verde might challenge the big boys
- Share via
This could be the year Rancho Verde is mentioned in the same breath with some of the top teams in the Inland Empire.
Coach Pete Duffy has a group of individual players with top credentials, and if the Mustangs can avoid injuries, beware.
It starts with Florida-bound quarterback Sheriron Jones. Then there’s UCLA-bound offensive lineman Tevita Halalilo. Verstatile receiver-defensive back Cedric Peterson is committed to Arizona. Jamal Scott is a 5-11, 190-pound running back with good skills.
Rancho Verde will get to prove itself in games against Citrus Hill, Great Oak and Redlands East Valley.
