Football: There are 24 unbeaten teams left in playoffs
- Share via
It has been a good year for unbeaten football teams.
There’s still 24 teams left in the Southern Section and the City Section that have not suffered a single defeat.
But several unbeaten teams are set to meet this week in the quarterfinals.
Among the battle of the unbeatens on Friday are Palmdale (11-0) playing at Bishop Diego (11-0) in the Northern Division and Placentia Valencia (11-0) at Villa Park (11-0) in the Southwest.
There’s three unbeaten teams left in the City Section _ Los Angeles (10-0-1), Arleta (11-0) and Belmont (11-0).
Unbeaten teams left in the Southern Section: Corona Centennial (11-0), Oaks Christian (11-0) and St. John Bosco (11-0) in the Pac-5; Mission Viejo (11-0) in the West Valley; Camarillo (11-0), Palmdale (11-0) and Bishop Diego (11-0) in the Northern; Valencia (11-0) and Villa Park (11-0) in the Southwest; Heritage (11-0) in the Inland; San Marino (11-0) and Summit (11-0) in the Central; Palm Springs (11-0) and Moreno Valley (11-0) in the Eastern.
Sierra Canyon (11-0) in the Mid-Valley; Riverside Notre Dame (11-0) and Twentynine Palms (11-0) in the Northwest; Katella (11-0) in the Southern; Grace Brethren (11-0), Calvary Murrieta (11-0) and Saddleback Valley Christian (11-0) in the East Valley.
Correction: An earlier version of this blog list 23 teams as unbeaten. It is 24 teams. Left out was Oaks Christian.
