Clippers seek better results on road

The Clippers have to improve on the road.
They are 8-9 away from Staples Center this season, having lost three of their last four road games.
They did keep it close in losses last week at Golden State on Christmas and at Portland on Dec. 26, but they know that the NBA’s elite teams win even when they are not the home team.
“We have to play better on the road,” Coach Doc Rivers said recently. “I know we were great and it was close [at Golden State and Portland], but we have to win games on the road.”
The Clippers will get another opportunity this weekend as visitors against two tough opponents.
They are set to play Friday night against a Dallas Mavericks team that is 11-4 at home, 19-13 overall.
Then Saturday night, the Clippers are to face the San Antonio Spurs, who are 12-4 at home, 25-7 overall.
