Receiver Tristan Payton of Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast High, who has committed to sign a letter of intent with USC, was named most valuable player of last weekend’s Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl at StubHub Center.
Payton caught three passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns, including a 58-yarder, in the East team’s 24-3 victory.
Payton pledged to USC in August. Four months later, he took an official visit to Louisville.
Receivers De’Quan Hampton, from Long Beach City College, and Isaac Whitney, from Riverside City College, also have committed to the Trojans.
