Summer sale at Accor Hotels in Europe, Asia, Africa and elsewhere

If you’re planning a trip out of the country this summer, Accor Hotels has a deal that might work for you. The international chain has rooms on sale at hotels in Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle East, South and Central America, Australia, New Zealand and other locations -- but only through Wednesday night.
The deal: The Hotel Super Sale applies to rooms at Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Mercure and Adagio hotels. If you haven’t heard of the brands, it’s because they’re all overseas. In the U.S., Accor is best known for operating the budget Motel 6 chain.
These sale rates are a good deal for summer travelers going abroad, but they require full payment upfront and don’t allow refunds or date changes. The sale is online only.
When: The offer is good for stays from July 8 to Sept. 4, but you must book by 11:59 p.m. PDT Wednesday.
Tested: I looked for availability online for hotels in London for a four-night stay starting July 19. I found a room at the Novotel London Excel in the Docklands area of the city for $667 total, including tax, for the four nights; rates varied by night. Without the sale, the same four nights at the best unrestricted rate went for $954, including tax.
