Daily Deal: Find the best fall colors with Eastern Sierra guide

Some parts of the Eastern Sierra are at peak, others have yet to turn. Learn where to find the best viewing spots from Big Pine to Mono County with the new Eastern Sierra Fall Color Guide & Map. It’s free to download immediately or request a copy by mail.
The deal: Discover places places like Rock Creek Canyon, Parker Lake off the June Lake Loop and Conway Summit, which are located along the California 395 corridor. Aspens, cottonwoods and willows put on a bright orange-yellow show at this time of year. The guide comes with a map that suggests scenic drives and activities to do in the area too.
It’s available for download, ordering by mail or pickup at the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., the Mono Basin National Forest Scenic Area Visitor Center (a half mile north of Lee Vining, Calif.) and the Mono Lake Committee Information Center in Lee Vining.
When: The guide is available indefinitely.
Details: As of Friday, areas above 8,000 feet in elevation in Bishop Creek Canyon in Bishop, Calif., and Mono County reported peak colors. For updates on fall colors in the Sierra, go to www.californiafallcolor.com.
