Kids and fine dining make a poor mix

Oh goodie, another yuppie parent who has to inflict her kid on those of us who would like a nice dinner out once in a while [“A Zigzag Through a Comical Santa Rosa,” Weekend Escape, July 13]. It reminds me of the kid behind us at a restaurant who bounced in his chair so hard that he knocked a potted plant (dirt and all) onto my dining companion’s head. At another place a mother repeatedly tried to ram her heavy stroller over my foot.
Either hire a baby-sitter or let your kid throw Cheerios at Chuck E. Cheese’s.
In case anyone thinks I am an insufferable grouch, Miss Manners, the paragon of etiquette, says it’s tacky to drag young children into nice restaurants.
