Clippers’ Chris Paul leaves game with right shoulder sprain

Chris Paul went down holding his right shoulder and was taken to the locker room with 6 minutes 43 seconds left in the third quarter of the Clippers’ game against the Mavericks in Dallas on Friday night.
Paul suffered a right shoulder sprain, the Clippers announced. He did not return to the game. The Clippers were leading, 77-75, when he was injured.
Paul came off a high screen set by DeAndre Jordan and was fouled by Monta Ellis.
Paul tumbled to the court holding his shoulder. Jasen Powell, the Clippers’ head athletic trainer, escorted Paul to the locker room while teammates watched.
Paul had 19 points and six assists before he left the game.
